Anthony J. E. Houhoulis is an American filmmaker, musician, writer, and entrepreneur.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Houhoulis developed an early foundation in music with over a decade of classical training in violin and saxophone. He later taught himself guitar and keyboard, expanding his multi-instrumental abilities for song composition and film scoring. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a Master’s degree from Harvard University, where he was involved with the Harvard Innovation Labs to incubate creative and entrepreneurial ventures.

Houhoulis is the founder of Boston Collaborative Cinema (BCC), a production framework centered on collaborative, resource-pooling models for independent filmmakers. His media ventures also include Houhoulis Pictures, Filmstar Global Holdings, and the publishing imprint Bostonian Publishers.

In film, Houhoulis wrote and directed the film 128 Years (2019), which premiered at the Downtown Independent Cinema in Los Angeles, as well as the short Letting Go and the episodic pilot How to Get Famous Without Trying.

As a songwriter and composer, Houhoulis has accumulated over 1.25 million streams across platforms. His literary work includes the book Ripping Leaves, published through Bostonian Publishers. He is also the creator and host of the podcast Interested Anthony.

Based in New York City, Houhoulis pursues graduate studies in healthcare at Columbia University alongside his work in media and publishing.
